Job Duties & Skills Required:

What You Will Do

The overall purpose of this job is to create meaningful and business relevant reports and visualizations which assist operations to optimize day to day and strategic decision making. This person will assist in understanding available information, using the available Business Intelligence (BI) tools to craft creative, relevant, information-based solutions that provide value for Immanuel. The position is a core component of the Business Intelligence and Data Analytics department to ensure data is analyzed, interpreted and presented to deliver value-added reports and actionable insights that support fact-based decision making. Supports and lives out Immanuels Mission and CHRIST Promises.

Key Responsibilities and Duties of the Job

Development of Reports & Analytics

  • Supports the information needs for operations by creating and updating reports related to Human Resource, Electronic Health Records, and other business software systems as assigned. This includes not only getting the correct data, but also aggregating, integrating and presenting it in a manner that provides clarity of meaning and drives decisions. Summarizes, explains and presents data and reports in useful and understandable format and verbiage.
  • Analyzes and understands business process needs and data flows to design and develop meaningful BI reports that provide important operational and analytical insights.
  • Creates and maintains requirements, specifications, and business process documentation.
  • Profiles, analyzes and audits data to ensure data is consistent with documentation/assumptions.
  • Consults with business partners on best ways to structure data and visualize it to meet the needs of the business questions and desired insights for decision making.

Facilitates BI
Adoption

  • Works with business units to gather reporting requirements and create solutions which are scalable and meaningful.
  • Assists internal customers with acceptance and adoption of implemented solutions.

Data Governance

  • Supports the proper management, quality, and accessibility of data within the organization to support compliance and decision-making.

Other

  • Performs other duties as assigned or requested.

Skills & Requirements

Education-

  • Associates degree in computer science, MIS, business administration or related field is required.
  • Bachelors degree in computer science, MIS, business administration or related field is desired.
  • Equivalent years of experience may substitute for education requirement.

Experience-

  • Two (2) years of Business Intelligence, Business Analytics or related experience is required.

Other Requirements

  • Proficient in IBM Cognos, UKG and Crystal reporting would be ideal.
  • Proven experience in refining and analyzing large amounts of data for projects and translating that data into relevant business insights.
  • Have a broad understanding or aptitude to learn the data needs associated with facets of a Senior Care Healthcare enterprise.
  • Experienced in Power BI reporting or other visualization tools.
